I always carry binoculars if you don’t have and my photography hobby will ensure you get the best personal pics! Please ensure clothing is neutral earthy colours for your safari, and that you have both a sun hat and sunscreen. The African sun can be very harsh!

Any month is spectacular and different in every way!
October through to March – hot, wet and green. Less game-viewing opportunities as there is a lot of water everywhere therefore animals are widely scattered. Foliage is lush and dense.
April and May – cooling down, not much rain about but game-viewing similar as earlier months due to still ample foliage and water bodies.
June and July – coldest months, game more concentrated as water bodies and grazing are depleted.
August and September – warming up but very dry. Best game-viewing opportunities as vegetation and water sources now sparse.
