Ask any birder and they’ll tell you: The early bird gets the bird. Well… sometimes.

The artwork on this shirt was inspired by a photograph taken by Ali in the Kruger National Park, capturing one of Africa’s most unmistakable and wonderfully prehistoric-looking birds — the Southern Ground Hornbill.

It’s big. It’s bold. It’s gloriously red. And it has the sort of face that makes you wonder whether it woke up early specifically to find breakfast before everyone else. So we gave it the caption it clearly deserved:
